Nick and I decided to participate in the wonderful world of wedding shows last year. We were reluctant to try it at first, knowing that wedding shows are famous for extreme bargain hunters, but we set up our display and proudly showed off the work that we’ve created. We stumbled upon Micaela and Wilbert, two lovely people that were shopping around for the vendors they would hire for their big day. We chatted a bit and came to learn that they understood the value and importance of wedding photography, and when we followed up after a few weeks, they decided they wanted to hire us on the spot. Micaela, her mother, and I met for coffee to discuss the details shortly after, and we instantly connected. The barista at the coffee shop was a previous client of mine that also had gotten married at Ryckman Park Community Center, so they exchanged information and helped with the best possible suggestions for Micaela’s wedding.
The day of the wedding was nothing less of magical. A traditional broom jumping ceremony, golden string lights hanging in the reception, and the love between joining families made this wedding one of our favorites to date.
